About

My name is Steve Dragswolf. I am Hidatsa and Arikara from the Three Affiliated tribes of North Dakota, otherwise known as the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation. I now live in Albuquerque, NM. Learn a bit more about me by reading "The Almost NDN".

The writing on this website is my attempt to wrestle with the human experience through words and stories. It is born out of N. Scott Momaday's poem, "Prayer for Words," which covers three things I am interested in and invested in: Christian theology, literature, and Indigenous peoples. Learn more about this website by reading the "Introduction".

Everything on this site is free. Subscribe for email delivery, access to all posts, and commenting privileges. However, you can opt-in to pay $5 a month to support independent writing because ads are terrible and won't appear on this site.

I'm also a freelance writer and editor. My portfolio includes links to a select few clips, a fuller portfolio on Contently, and my LinkedIn profile. Let me know if I can help you with some writing and editing.
