About

Steve Dragswolf

My name is Steve Dragswolf. I am Hidatsa and Arikara from the Three Affiliated tribes of North Dakota, otherwise known as the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation. I now live in Albuquerque, NM. Learn a bit more about me by reading "The Almost NDN".

This website is my attempt to wrestle with the human experience through words and stories. It is born out of N. Scott Momaday's poem, "Prayer for Words," which covers three things I am interested in and invested in: Indigenous People, Theology, and Storytelling. Learn more about my inspiration by reading the "Introduction".

All posts on this site are free for now. Subscribe for free to enable commenting privileges and to support the writer. We're currently in a series on Bears Belly, an iconic figure whose story has yet to be told.
